Reign of Fire – Game Mechanics

Reign of Fire – Game Mechanics

Reign of Fire is the 2025 Annual Special of Travian: Legends. Here’s an overview of its features different to regular new gameworlds.

Main special features kept from the previous Annual Specials:

Features removed or changed compared to Northern Legends:

  • The map edges can be crossed (similar to how this works on regular game worlds).
  • There are no harbours or ships.
  • Vikings do not join the game this time, but Teutons are there.
  • Romans troops are the same as on regular game worlds – legionnaires do not have the boost to fill the role of Teuton spearmen, as Teutons are back.

New features

Items rarity

Equipment items have four rarity levels: common, uncommon, rare and epic. The better the rarity, the better the effect of the item. This combines with the 3 quality tiers, known from the regular version of the game. Each item has both a quality tier and a rarity level. This also means that the bonus of items can be much higher than before.

Special Servers – Common, Uncommon, Rare and Epic Items

More adventures

There are much more adventures available (around twice as many as before). This means that for example on x1 game world you get around 6 adventures a day during the first 3 days, instead of 3 per day. For higher speed servers this is adjusted as usual, so you get even more adventures there.

As the adventures are generated 2 times faster, you now need to complete 20 adventures instead of 10 in order to access the Auction House.

As there are more adventures, their difficulty and the experience hero gets is around half of what it used to be. Note that the difficulty has indirect effect on the damage hero gets, as it also depends on the hero’s fighting power, so the damage may not be exactly halved, but it’s lowered.

Better loot

Not only you get more adventures, but the adventures themselves are much more likely to have nice loot. Equipment is more common reward than in regular version.

As the items now have rarity levels, we have also adjusted when you can find how good items in adventures. In general, as the game progresses, expect to find better rarity items (but not epic), initially of the lowest quality tier, but later of better quality. The progress is more gradual compared to the regular worlds.

Item crafting

You are not limited to what you find in adventures or what you can buy in Auction House. You can smelt items to get material, forge new items using material and refine items to increase their rarity level, improving their bonus.

Adjusted hero damage model

We have adjusted how damage is applied when hero has an item lowering damage. This was necessary, so that even with the best rarity items the hero does not become completely invincible.

How it works on regular game worlds:

In battle, the bonus from items is applied before the hero damage is applied. If the final damage is 90 HP or more, the hero dies. The best item could reduce the damage hero gets by 8 HP, so it was still possible for the hero to get 90 or more after this bonus.

How it works in Reign of Fire:

In battle, if the initially calculated damage for the hero is 95 HP or more, the hero dies, regardless of bonuses. If the initial damage is less than 95, the bonuses are applied and the hero dies only if the final damage was equal or higher than the hero health before the battle.

For example, if a hero with full health and an item that reduces damage by 8 HP gets hit by enemy with 96 damage, in the regular game world he would survive with 12 HP left. In Reign of Fire, the hero would die, as the initial damage was over 95.

On the other hand, if the hero had item that reduces damage by 10 HP (or more) and a full health, he would not die on a regular game world even if the enemy dealt maximum (100) damage.
